Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology is Accepting Candidates for the Dean's position
Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to education, research, healthcare and service, invites nominations and applications for the position dean of Parks College. The college has departments in aerospace engineering, aviation science, biomedical engineering, civil engineering, and electrical and computer engineering, employs more than 40 full-time faculty members and enrolls more than 600 undergraduate and graduate students. The dean is the college’s academic and fiscal head. Through his/her leadership, the dean inspires and supports faculty initiatives for teaching, research, and service excellence, fosters collaboration across disciplines, and works with faculty to develop a vision for the College consistent with the University’s Catholic, Jesuit identity.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
He/she should have familiarity with, and support for, the mission and identity of the University as a Catholic, Jesuit institution.
Candidates should present credentials including an earned doctorate in a field appropriate to the College and a record of excellence in teaching, research, and service sufficient to qualify for appointment as a tenured professor in a department of the College.
LEADERSHIP AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will present a record demonstrating strategic and visionary leadership and management of diverse programs in areas relevant to the College, the ability to acquire external funding from public and private sources, skills in budgeting and fiscal management, the ability to form and maintain collaborative relationships internally and externally, a strong commitment to diversity, an open and collegial personal style, and highly developed communication skills.
