Biography

Catherine Ham currently works at Boeing as Program Manager for the Cruise Missile Systems International Execution team. Her specialties include various engineering disciplines, such as aerodynamics, composite materials and processes, systems engineering, as well as continuous improvement/Lean+ and technological entrepreneurship. Catherine has worked on the F/A-18 fighter aircraft program, Future Combat Systems with the U.S. Army, the Chairman’s Innovation Initiative, and material development in Phantom Works. Previously, Catherine earned two Master degrees from Washington University and a BS in Aerospace Engineering from Parks. She is involved as President of the Parks College Alumni Association, in Boeing Campus Focal for Parks College, in Greater Missouri Leadership Challenge Class of 2008, and in the Boeing Engineering Leadership Development Program. Catherine is an active member of the Society of Women Engineers, Women in Aviation International, the St. Louis Organizational Development Network, and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.

Research

Catherine’s research interest is to understand the impact of engineering discipline/industry age on female job satisfaction and retention.
