Sponsor/Grant: Parks College
Program Start: Summer 2014

Elizabeth Brennan began her studies at SLU in 2014, and is a thesis-track graduate student. She completed the Certificate of University Teaching Skills from the Reinert Center at SLU in 2016. Research interests include data analysis and simultaneous localization and mapping.

Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) and using machine learning algorithms such as neural networks to characterize successful localization in order to better identify instances of robot kidnapping, or continued operation despite an increasingly inaccurate pose estimate.
