ABOUT THE CHALLENGE

Students had to build a free-floating platform to hold three marbles on top of an upside down plastic cup. A cage or device was not allowed to surround the marbles. The students then had to place the platform in a container filled with water and carry it 10 feet. The team that retained the most marbles in the fastest time won.
