Project Mission

The purpose of Argus-High is to improve the predictive modeling of radiation effects on modern space electronics by recording events caused by radiation particle collisions with electronics monitoring experiments, and relaying the data to the ground. The science partner is the Institute for Space and Defense Electronics at Vanderbilt University.

Argus-High must conform to the CubeSat specification and meet all UNP guidelines with a size no greater than the 2U (10x10x20 cm). It must operate in an orbit between 500-800km for at least one year, and be designed, built and operated by students at SLU, aided by professionals and students at Vanderbilt University.
