After graduating from SLU BME, our alumni develop diverse careers
in business, technology, and research. Their SLU academic background
gives them a strong advantage in the business world as they have
technical knowledge with a broad liberal arts base. Engineering
backgrounds are prized in the legal profession, where our alumni
apply their knowledge as intellectual property lawyers. Our alumni
are also active in biomedical research and education at a variety
of levels. In BME, we believe that our alumni represent the best
of what we have to offer - a community of ethical and service-oriented
adults.
What do students do after graduation?

Some immediately pursue graduate degrees (MS or PhD) in engineering

and recent graduates have attended top institutions such as
Johns Hopkins, Georgia Tech/Emory, Case Western, Washington
University, and Duke. Many students seek professional degrees
in business, medicine, dentistry, or law upon graduation,
attending institutions such as Washington University, Loyola, Kent,
