Design of an Electrospun Polymer Scaffold for Soft Tissue Engineering

This project was designed to produce polymer scaffolds for soft tissue engineering. It involved the creation of an electrospinner to produce fibrous scaffolds of sufficient scale for tissue seeding. Initial trials showed some results, determining that a 10% PCL mix was ideal. Mechanical testing proved inconclusive. Imaging showed high fiber density which must be addressed before use with tissues. Further testing will be required to determine the significance of this research.
