The department maintains more than 1000 sq. ft of laboratory
teaching space in the engineering building.
Analog and Digital Circuits Laboratory:
Each student workstation features state-of-the-art equipment
and is available to conduct experiments in electrical and
electronic circuits.
ECE Senior Design Laboratory:
State-of-the-art equipment is available on each student workstation.
The design lab is equipped with a diversity of equipment (spectrum
analyzer, logic analyzer, PLCs, etc.) apart from scopes, power
supplies, and meters. The design lab also houses high speed
PCs connected to the internet and equipped with electrical engineering-related software packages. A printer is also available for
use from these PCs.
Microprocessors and Digital Design Computer Laboratory: The equipment consists of sixteen PCs (with accessibility to the internet) running Windows XP environment and URDA MC68000 microprocessor development kits. The software packages MATLAB, PSPICE, QUICKFIELD, and Office XP etc. are installed on each of these PCs. A dedicated printer is accessible from any of the PCs.
Printed Circuit Board Manufacturing Facilities: Equipped with a "Quick Circuit" Model 7000 Printed Circuit Board Machining Tool. this lab enables ECE students to design, test, and manufacture printed circuit boards in-house. The machine is connected to a PC with design verification software.
