As a Computer Engineering student, you will study the fundamentals of computer system design involving both hardware and software disciplines. Students pursuing a computer engineering degree are expected to spend a great deal of their time in our state-of-the-art laboratories. Classroom coursework and lectures are complemented with hands-on lab experience. Students begin conducting experiments in department laboratory facilities during their freshman year. 

Design experience is well-integrated throughout the four-year curriculum. During a student’s senior year they work as a team on a senior design project, which allows them to do valuable research and develop innovative concepts within the computer engineering field.

Research Opportunities in Computer Engineering

Students also have the opportunity to work with faculty on research programs, enhancing their educational experience and preparing them for the industry.
