Stephen Belt, Ph.D., joined the Aviation Science department at Parks College in 1998 and has served as Flight Training Director, senior check airman, pilot and instructor. Dr. Belt is a graduate of the University of Central Missouri, University of Colorado at Denver, Aquinas Institute of Theology and Saint Louis University. He received the Outstanding Faculty of the Year Award from the Association of Parks College Students (APCS) in 2005. His teaching and research interests include collegiate aviation education, administration and assessment; flight instructor development, and learner-centered pedagogy, including Ignatian pedagogy.
