Engineering and Aviation Summer Academy
About the Academy
This year’s Academy will be on June 22-27, 2014. Rising high school juniors and seniors participate in the six-day, five-night sessions and learn about the latest technology and career paths in engineering and aviation.
During the Academy, faculty and student mentors also guide students through hands-on activities in:
- aerospace and mechanical engineering
- aviation management
- flight science
- biomedical engineering
- civil engineering
- computer and electrical engineering
Students also attend an off-campus group outing, take a flight in a Diamond DA-20 airplane and explore Saint Louis University.
Application and Tuition
Applications are now being accepted. Tuition is $550.00. Please note that tuition includes room and meals for all applicants. The completed application materials must be submitted online by Monday, March 31, 2014 to the following address:

Two different scholarships are available: the Oliver Parks Summer Academy Scholarship and the Diversity Scholarship. The Oliver Parks Summer Academy Scholarship offers one full scholarship ($550) and two half scholarships ($275), and the Diversity Scholarship offers one full scholarship ($550) and two half scholarships ($275). Scholarship applicants will be considered for both full and half scholarships and will be awarded based on financial need and merit.
Space is limited and participation is limited to high school students who will graduate in 2015 or 2016 and currently have a “B” average or better. All application requirements must be met in order to be considered.
