AIAA Distinguished Lecturer - "Inventing the Joint Strike Fighter"

On Apr. 4, 2011 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., Dr. Paul Bevilaqua will be presenting “Inventing the Joint Strike Fighter.” He will highlight the development of the Joint Strike Fighter and its innovative engine, and his role in the creation of the Lift Fan Propulsion System. This event is only $5 for students and includes dinner.
About the Speaker
Dr. Bevilaqua joined Lockheed Martin as Chief Aeronautical Scientist of the Lockheed Advanced Aeronautics Company, and became Chief Engineer of Advanced Development Projects in the Lockheed Martin Skunk Works. During this time, he played a leading role in creating the Joint Strike Fighter Program and invented the Lift Fan Propulsion System. His presentation will cover the development and innovation behind the Joint Strike Fighter Program and his part in developing one of the greatest advancements in aeronautics.
The event will be held in DuBourg HallRoom 157, Refectory Hall. Tickets are available to students for $5 through Kay Bopp, Rm. 1017 in McDonnell-Douglas Hall. Professional attendee tickets are also available for $20.
