The Civil Engineering Club will host a presentation by Phillip Gould on Monday, May 2, from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. The presentation will take place in Tegeler Hall, Room 104 and attendees can enjoy a free Jimmy John’s lunch.
About the Speaker
Dr. Gould is a retired professor of Civil Engineering at Washington University. He is the Director of the New Madrid Chapter of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute and an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He is also the founding editor the international journal Engineering Structures. Dr. Gould will be speaking about earthquakes and seismic structures which should be very interesting in light of the recent events in Japan.
