The Parks SAE Design Team Succeeded in the SAE West Competition

SAE International, also known as the Society for American Engineers, is a global association of more than 128,000 engineers and related technical experts in the aerospace, automotive and commercial-vehicle industries. The annual SAE Aero Design West Competition took place in Forth Worth, Texas at the Forth Worth Thunderbird Flying field from March 18-20.
The Parks SAE Aero Design Team of students competed quite successfully in the SAE West Competition and will be advancing to the next leg of the competition.
The team participated in two different design classes in this competition against 58 teams from all over the world.
In the Micro Class our Parks Team achieved the following placements:
- 1st Place - Design Report Micro Class
- 1st Place - Technical Presentation Micro Class.
In the Advanced Class, our Parks Team achieved the following placements:
- 2nd Place - Overall in Advanced Class
1st Place - Technical Presentation Advanced Class
The designs created by the parks team were very successful and the team members had a great experience at the SAE Competition. They will be competing with the same designs in the SAE East Competition in Marietta, GA from April 29 through May 1.
