Colonel Michael HargisParks College wishes farewell to Colonel Michael Hargis as he departs his position as AFROTC Commander at Detachment 207 at Saint Louis University. Colonel Hargis was responsible for recruiting, training, motivating and educating Air Force Officer candidates.  He was also the senior Air Force officer on campus with dual responsibilities as detachment commander and Chairperson of the Department of Aerospace Studies with the academic rank of full professor.

Colonel Hargis leaves Saint Louis University to become the Chief of Exercise and Training for U.S. Southern Command in Miami, Florida. Lt. Col. Aaron B. Dyke will replace him in his position at the college.
