Ice Chunks Possibly From Plane Crash In South City
St. Louis’ Fox 2 News turned to Aviation safety expert, Richard Steckel of Saint Louis University’s Center for Aviation Safety Research on an incident of fallen ice from an airplane. Ice formed from a leak in the airplane’s water tank dropped out of the sky and into a South St. Louis city man’s backyard, nearly missing him and his dog on Thursday afternoon. Steckel stated that the odds of this occurrence are as likely as being struck by lightening.
