Dr. Bryce Rutter of Metaphase Design Group, Inc. Joins SPICE Series

On Tuesday, December 4, Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology topped the fall semester Speakers Pioneering Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship (SPICE) series off with speaker Dr. Bryce Rutter, founder of Metaphase Design Group, Inc.
Dr. Rutter shared his insight on common myths of innovation and his User Centered Innovation Process.
“Dr. Rutter seems to respect the one thing that big corporations tend to ignore: the customer,” said engineering student, Ryan McNeely. “His insights were intelligent, thoughtful, and inspiring. I hope that I can apply his vision in my own pursuits as an entrepreneur.”
Dr. Rutter is an expert in the field of handheld design and ergonomics, and is a specialist in innovation and business strategy. His leadership has consistently delivered award-winning innovative breakthroughs in design, ergonomics, packaging and research for the world’s most prestigious brands including Sony, Gatorade, John Deere, Gillette, Bausch & Lomb, Kraft and Revlon.
SPICE, sponsored by the Kern Entrepreneurship Education Network (KEEN) and the Coleman Foundation, is a free ongoing speaker event to enhance the flavor of engineering education by bringing technology visionaries into direct contact with students and practitioners.
KEEN is a collaboration of 19 universities around the U.S. that strive to instill an entrepreneurial mindset in undergraduate engineering students.
