Saint Louis University’s Parks College of Engineering, Aviation and Technology is preparing for the 2016 Homecoming and Family Weekend. Alumni, families, current students, faculty and staff are invited to join in on the fun with the following events:

New Dean Reception - Friday, September 23, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m., Oliver Lawn

Join the SLU community in officially welcoming Michelle B. Sabick, Ph.D. as dean of Parks College! During the reception we will also hold a brief investiture ceremony for civil engineering professor, Craig Adams, Ph.D., P.E., F.ASCE, the new Oliver L. Parks Endowed Chair. Meet and mingle with Parks faculty, staff, students and alumni over complimentary hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine and soft drinks at this festive outdoor reception on the lawn between McDonnell Douglas Hall and Oliver Hall. Fly-In Breakfast – Saturday, September 24, 8:30 – 10:30 a.m., Center for Aviation Science

Enjoy a breakfast of unlimited pancakes, sausage, orange juice and coffee catered by Chris’ Cakes at Parks College’s Hangar 8 at the St. Louis Downtown Airport.  Check out the fleet of Parks aircraft, mingle with aviation faculty, staff, and students, and celebrate the rich aviation history of Parks College. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the aviation student organizations of Alpha Eta Rho and Women in Aviation. Breakfast costs $7 per adult and $5 per student or child. Parks College Open House – Saturday, September 24, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., McDonnell Douglas Hall

Swing by McDonnell Douglas Hall to check out what is going on in Parks College! Faculty, staff and current students from each of Parks departments will be available to answer questions, talk about current research and academic endeavors, and show off the various labs and state-of-the-art equipment that Parks has to offer.
