This year’s Academy will be from June 9-13. Rising high school seniors can attend the five-day, four-night sessions and learn about the latest technology and career paths in engineering and aviation.

This year’s theme is “Safety Management: How to make it happen.” Business leaders and practitioners will discuss safety leadership strategies, development of a strong safety culture, and sustainment of a robust safety management system.
Engineers Week - Billiken B.E.A.M.S. Competition

Civil EngineeringThe Billiken BEAMS Competition is a group based project opportunity in which students use their innovation to build a structure and then compete against other groups throughout the Saint Louis area. This year’s challenge is “A Bridge to Civil Engineering” in which student groups construct a supported road based bridge out of balsa wood. The winning team will design, construct and test the most effective bridge that meets competition evaluation criteria.
